Former CenturyLink, Broadvoice senior manager to lead the company’s recruiting efforts and help existing Telarus trusted technology advisors in Florida strategically grow their cloud, unified communications, cybersecurity, and contact center practices

January 9, 2020

Telarus, LLC., master agent and largest private-held distributor of business cloud infrastructure and contact center services, today announced it had hired industry-veteran, Don Gaus of Melbourne, Florida, as its new senior partner development manager (SPDM) of Florida. In this role, Gaus will help existing Telarus channel partners expand their cloud, UCaaS, SD-WAN, contact center, and cybersecurity practices, as well as recruit new trusted advisors interested in leveraging the many award-winning resources Telarus has to offer. Gaus comes to Telarus after 16 years supporting channel partners in the southeast for many of the industry’s top brands: Braodvoice, CenturyLink, Sombus Networks, and Windstream.

“We are super excited to welcome Don as our new Senior Partner Development Manager of Florida,” said Ruth Morford, Area VP of the East for Telarus. “We have known Don during his very successful career and have been big fans of his work. He knows this business; he knows who the players are, and most of all, he knows the value Telarus brings to our partners.  He’ll be laser-focused on getting our valued partners in Florida, helping them connect with the education and resources they need to expand into the fastest-growing areas of technology brokerage: cybersecurity and cloud contact center.”

During his very successful career, Gaus has held several roles in the channel: he was a channel development manager at leading UCaaS provider, Broadvoice, and YipTel (acquired by Broadvoice) before that. He also spent four years as a senior enterprise account manager, where he consulted with some of CenturyLink’s largest co-location, cloud and managed hosting customers. During his time at these companies, Gaus developed a reputation for responsiveness, building successful teams, and always doing the right things for his partners. Gaus takes over the Florida market for Ruth Morford of Tampa, who was recently promoted to Area Vice President in June 2019.

“Working for suppliers my entire career, I’m excited to join a provider-agnostic master agent so I can unleash my knowledge and experience to benefit our Florida sales partners,” said Gaus. “Telarus has established itself as the fastest-growing master agent in the world, and I’m excited to help them translate that success to Florida, the birthplace of GeoQuote® and site of the 2018 Telarus Partner Summit. Down here, the best sales partners are relationship-driven and expect you to perform when called upon. Telarus has a 17-year track record of continually investing – and re-investing — in patented research tools, technology, and engineering expertise that partners have come to rely on, especially with advanced products like cloud and cybersecurity. I’m excited to continue executing on the company’s vision of unlocking huge opportunities with the industry’s top producers. The next few years are going to bring a tremendous opportunity to our partners who really sink their teeth into leveraging Telarus to help step their customers through the digital transformation journey!”
