Call highlights

UniVoiP

Presenters: Michael Bacich, EVP of Sales & Marketing; Dean Manzoori, Chief Technology Officer; and Medy Shahoveissi, Director of Channel Sales

  • UniVoiP is the “easy button” for adding voice to MS Teams: UniVoiP is a California-based cloud communications provider offering Telarus partners and their customers a white-glove, customer-centric approach to support and a seamless built-for-MS Teams cloud voice solution. “Think of us as the easy button to allow customers who use MS Teams for internal collaboration to add external voice communications and use the MS telephony solution all natively within Teams. We don’t require any 3rd party apps,” said Medy Shahoveissi, Director of Channel Sales.
  • A unique approach to adding voice: UniVoiP is a purpose-built platform with a dedicated network to MS Teams. “We took the automation of Operator Connect [Microsoft’s cloud-managed solution for providing PSTN connectivity with Teams], and added flexibility, cloud-based features, and an unparalleled onboarding promise…we’re talking minutes to onboard regardless of number of users,” explained Michael Bacich, EVP of Sales & Marketing. Additionally, customers have the ability to overlay native, contact center and SMS apps, as well as customize CRM and ERM though dynamics. The net result: A more efficient approach to adding voice to MS Teams wherever an organization needs it most.
  • UniVoiP takes customer satisfaction seriously: The company offers a no-obligation 30-day trial, requires no mandatory setup fees or training costs, and provides 24/7 year-round live answer support.
  • It’s easy to introduce UniVoiP to customers already on MS Teams: “If your customers are using MS Teams on a daily basis, consider opening the conversation for an external voice solution. It’s a natural extension to other enhanced communications like chat and email. And if you find that they are spending money on other video conferencing platforms, not a problem. You can consolidate all of these onto one platform and save money for your customers,” said Dean Manzoori, Chief Technology Officer.

Brightspeed

Presenter: Robert Uphoff, Director of Indirect Channel Sales

  • How Brightspeed came to be: A subsidiary of private equity firm Apollo Global Management, Brightspeed was formed in 2021 by three former Verizon executives as part of a $7.5 billion deal to acquire Lumen Technologies’ DSL and landline phone services. Don’t let the start-up title fool you: Today Brightspeed is the 5th largest ILEC, delivering fast, reliable connectivity to SMB customers across the eastern half of US.
  • Brightspeed builds with intention, focus, and purpose: “All we do is ultrafast internet access, which allows us to stay laser-focused on partner and customer experience,” said Robert Uphoff, Director of Indirect Channel Sales. He added that the company is known for its channel-friendly culture; its leadership brings an impressive history of channel expertise.
  • Investing in the future starts now, with an exciting 2023-2024 product roll-out: Brightspeed is moving their investments back into their markets and expanding connectivity services to fuel partner and customer growth across 20+ states. From infrastructure investments to more cloud-based services, expect to hear a lot of news from Brightspeed early next year. “The idea is to phase out [low demand] legacy products, add on voice, and embrace over-the-top solutions while also providing a one-stop shop for those businesses looking to consolidate products,” said Uphoff. “Early next year we will thoughtfully roll out products inherited from Lumen, simplifying them [like DIA]…then introduce over-the-top managed wifi and SDWAN with [our SDWAN provider partner] Meraki. Mid-2024, channel partners can look forward to a more efficient, user-friendly ordering and provisioning process as the company works to migrate Lumen-inherited processes to a cloud-based, integrated environment.
