Telarus, LLC., master agent of business unified communications, contact center, mobility, cybersecurity, and network services; today announced it had hired industry-veteran, Lesley Evans, as its new director of sales operations. In this role, Evans will help create more scale with the Telarus Field Sales Team as they find and onboard new channel partners looking to expand their data, voice, cloud, and contact center practices. Evans comes to Telarus from Net2Phone, a leading provider of international unified communications services.
“We are excited to welcome Lesley as our new director of sales operations,” said Scott Forbush, SVP of global sales for Telarus. “Over the past few years, we’ve experienced a surge in hiring partner support managers to support our growing sales partners base. This growth has created a massive need for new processes, measurement, and ongoing coaching. Lesley, a life-long basketball coach, and seasoned industry veteran is going to have an immediate impact on our team as we strive to provide the most high-touch, personalized support to our partners. From her time both at Net2Phone and Intelisys, we’ve witnessed first-hand her ability to lead a team and make them better. As she relentlessly analyzes the business, we look forward to receiving her insights and recommendations.”
Over her very successful career at Net2Phone and Intelisys, Evans developed a reputation for responsiveness, building successful teams, and always doing the right things for her customers and partners. Outside of work, Evans is a public speaker and former varsity basketball player for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where she earned a bachelor’s in Industrial and Management Engineering, and later an MBA in Marketing.
“Working for both a Telarus competitor and later a Telarus supplier, I’ve had a front row seat to their explosive growth,” said Lesley Evans, director of sales operations for Telarus. “But with that growth, comes opportunities to optimize and work smarter, not harder. I’m positive that my education, work experience, and ability to create processes are going to play a huge role in helping the Telarus field sales team support our partners better. We are determined to not only maintain our support level through this growth phase but to improve it.”
Telarus currently has sales operations in Salt Lake City, Denver, San Diego, Sacramento, Austin, Cincinnati, Columbus, New York City, Boston, Birmingham, Charlotte, Tampa, with plans to expand into Seattle, Houston, Atlanta, and Chicago. Telarus also conducts sales operations outside of the U.S., with an office in Sydney Australia and soon, Toronto, Canada.
