Former Mitel, Jive, and Integra (Zayo) Solutions Engineer to help Telarus sales partners in the Pacific Northwest design, present, and close complex cloud communication opportunities

August 2, 2019 – Telarus, LLC., master agent of business unified communications, contact center, mobility, cybersecurity, and network services; today announced it had hired industry-veteran, Scott Glick of Seattle, to join the cloud sales engineering team of the Pacific Northwest. In this role, Glick will help sales partners design, present, and close unified communication, contact center, and SD-WAN solutions, all under the partner’s brand. Glick comes to Telarus with over 20 years of experience working for the Who’s Who list of on-premise voice, cloud-hosted voice, and network providers including Inter-Tel Technologies, Mitel, Zayo (Integra), and Jive Communications (Logmein).

“We are very excited to welcome Scott to the Pacific Northwest sales engineering group,” said Josh Lupresto, VP of Sales Engineering for Telarus. “Everyone who knows Scott knows he is an all-star in the UCaaS and advanced networking industry. With over 20 years of experience in network and UCaaS, he’ll hit the ground running with our existing partner community in the Pacific Northwest. We also know he’ll have no problem attracting new partners who are focused on growing their UCaaS business. His ability to understand the end client’s needs, to design the perfect solution, and then to help present that solution directly to the client, white-labeled as the agent, will set him apart in the industry and help our partners look like experts in front of their customers. For us, it’s all about making our partners look good and helping them close deals ‘outside of their weight class.'”

Glick got his start in 1999 with Inter-Tel, one of the largest interconnects in the northwest. After a brief stint with Mitel as Operations Manager, Glick found a long-time home with Integra, where he spent the next ten years of his career.  While at Integra, and later Zayo, Scott focused on sales engineering; specifically, helping channel partners in the Seattle and Portland area design resilient network solutions so that hosted VoIP could be reliably delivered over the top. Most recently, Glick was a sales engineer and area channel account manager for Jive and Mitel respectively. This also marks the second new hire Telarus has made in the Seattle area this summer; Kirk Avaiusini was hired in June to become a senior partner development manager for both Washington and Oregon.

“Like everyone else, I’ve been watching Telarus grow here, and now I am proud to join their sales engineering team,” said Scott Glick, Sales Engineer for Telarus. “Telarus continues to show its commitment to the PNW, first by hiring Kirk Avaiusini and now by hiring me. This is in addition to other marquee technical specialists we’ve hired recently: Dominique Singer (cybersecurity), Andrew Griffiths (cloud contact center), and Phillip Hanabergh (UCaaS).  I am excited to be part of the Telarus Sales Engineering Team and to help our partners design and close the complicated, complex solutions. Telarus has built and purchased so many time-saving software tools over the past decade, culminating with the interactive Unified Communications, SD-WAN, and Cyber Security matrices. I’ll be focused on using these tools, and my own 20 years of experience, to help our partners here close the massive and exciting deals here in the northwest.”

Glick will be meeting with partners at the upcoming Telarus Partner Summit in Denver, CO on August 7-10, and at the Northwest Mobility & IoT Bootcamp on August 27. To find more information about these events, please go to https://www.telarus.com/events/ for more information.
