New Supplier on the Block – Carahsoft

Jason Kaufman introduces Carahsoft as a new supplier partner that solves a major challenge Telarus faced in selling Zoom to government and educational institutions. Previously, these public sector deals would be redirected to Carahsoft, cutting Telarus out of the process. Now, by partnering with Carahsoft, Telarus can maintain direct Zoom relationships while leveraging Carahsoft’s government vehicle for FedGov, SLED, and educational entities with .gov or .edu addresses. The process requires dual registration with both Carahsoft and Zoom, with deals positioned through Carahsoft, and the operations team can help navigate the workflow to ensure deal protection in accounts where Telarus previously had no coverage.

Hey, everybody. Jason Kaufman, principal solutions architect here. Got another supplier I wanna talk about on new suppliers of the block, Carahsoft.

Welcome to new suppliers on the block. This series brings you closer to the newest suppliers in the portfolio, showcasing what they offer and how it can strengthen your conversations and customer outcomes. Let’s jump in.

So what we are at Telarus is we are innovators and we’re also problem solvers. One of the biggest problems that has come up is how to sell Zoom in the public sector space. Any sled government entity that we tried to sell, they would move it towards Carahsoft, which would effectively cut us out of the deal. So we’d have to position to another company like Lumen in order to be able to sell this on a resell model.

But what if the customer’s already actively engaged with Zoom? Or what if there’s another avenue there that we could have direct Zoom relationship, but also leverage that Carahsoft government vehicle and get in keep into that account and grow within that account? So Carahsoft, think of them for any Zoom, FedGov, or SLED, you know, entity to where it has a dot gov address or “.edu”. We no longer have that limitation.

We solve that problem bringing in Carahsoft from the fold, and we’re looking to expand that relationship into other entities. But for now, anytime you wanna get Zoom into those types of environments, think Carahsoft. Now the first thing you wanna do is make sure that you register the deal with Carahsoft. They will register with Zoom, and then make sure there there’s a dual registration happening there, but everything happens positioned through Carahsoft themselves.

So anytime you need that, work with our operations team. They make they know the workflow, and we can make sure you’re protected on these accounts that we didn’t have that protection before.
