Telarus, LLC., the largest private-held distributor of business cloud infrastructure and contact center services, today announced it had hired industry-veteran and Dallas resident, Jamie DeWitt, as its new senior partner development manager (SPDM) of Northern Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. In this role, DeWitt will help existing Telarus channel partners expand their data, voice, cloud, and contact center practices, as well as recruit new, trusted advisors interested in leveraging the many technical resources Telarus has to offer. DeWitt comes to Telarus after having worked for the who’s who in unified communications and contact center as a service: Vonage, Broadvoice, and most recently, Talkdesk, who was recently named to the magic quadrant for the first time this month.
“We are excited to welcome Jamie as our new Senior Partner Development Manager of Northern Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico” said Mike Gottwalt, Central Area VP for Telarus. “The guy is a winner; we’ve known and worked with Jamie for quite some time and know firsthand how well he performs when it comes to helping channel partners expand their UCaaS and CCaaS sales. He knows this business, he knows who the players are, and most of all, he knows the value Telarus brings to our partners. He’ll be focused on getting our valued partners in Northern Texas and Oklahoma the education and resources they need to expand into the fastest-growing areas of technology brokerage: cybersecurity and cloud contact center.”
During his very successful career, DeWitt has held several roles within the channel. He was a senior cloud solutions executive for Vonage Business, where he achieved the number one ranking in sales for Q4 2017. Later he became a regional channel manager for Broadvoice, where he was the top producer in 2018. Most recently, DeWitt was supporting sales partners as a channel manager for Talkdesk, the fastest-growing CCaaS solution provider in the industry. Before jumping into telecom, DeWitt spent six years as the men’s soccer and strength coach at John Paul II High School, where his teams earned him a combined 94-19-11 career record.
“To say I’m excited to join Telarus is an understatement,” said Jamie DeWitt, Senior Partner Development Manager for Telarus. “I’ve always felt that, if the opportunity arises, I’d like to join their team. The culture they’ve built over 17 years and the solid reputation of always innovating to help their partners punch outside their weight class has attracted me, and many of the industry’s top trusted advisors and subject-matter-experts to them. I’m excited to help them tell their story, one of building software tools for their partners, one of hiring the top engineers in the business, one of rewarding partners with loyalty points, one of building financial programs to help their partners grow, and to tell our partners here in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico what can happen if they lean hard into Telarus. This business is all about leverage, relationships, and execution, and Telarus has all three. From my time at Vonage, Broadvoice, and Talkdesk, I have already met many Telarus partners am very excited to help them unleash their growth potential using all the 200 providers in our portfolio.”
