Former OpenText, iLand Cloud executive to lead the establishment and growth of the Telarus brand in the U.K., enabling technology brokers in their sales of UCaaS, cloud contact center, network, and cyber security services

LONDON, U.K. – Telarus LLC, the American master agent and largest private-held distributor of business cloud infrastructure and contact center services, today announced it has hired industry-veteran and native of London, Greg McVey, as its new Regional Vice President of the U.K. In this role, McVey’s will be responsibilities will be two-fold: first he will establish the Telarus brand in Great Britain by partnering with UCaaS, CCaaS, and network providers who are looking to increase their channel sales volume, and second, he will find new cloud brokers to recruit, train, and support as they advise their clients on which cloud communications and/or infrastructure service is right for them.
“This is a monumental step for Telarus,” said Scott Forbush, SVP of Global Sales for Telarus. “Although our business inside the United States has continued to grow at a robust 40%+ in each of the past three years, we feel it’s important to establish a presence in other geographies that hold even greater growth potential. For us, that place is the U.K. We see the broker model there in its infancy, waiting for a market leader to come in and take a leadership role. Our vision is to become just that: the leading cloud technology distributor in Europe. In order to accomplish that, we’ll rely on Greg McVey to educate and recruit the first batch of true cloud brokers, help them develop go-to-market strategies that work, refine their marketing, and give them the blueprints to grow their staff. At the same time, we’ll be working closely with our many suppliers – some of them with assets currently deployed in Great Britain – gain their share of the market. Greg is going to be the best friend cloud brokers and cloud service providers could ever have.”
Great Britain is the third market outside of the United States for Telarus, who opened up a new office in Sydney, Australia in August of 2018, and Toronto, Canada in July 2019.
