SANDY, UT – Telarus, LLC., the largest privately-held distributor of business Cloud infrastructure and Contact Center services, held its in-person event at the Marriott Marquis San Diego in front of a gathering of partners, suppliers, and Telarus employees. The event had a great turn out with around 930 people in attendance.
Both partners and suppliers got to experience incredible sessions, dinners, workouts, and parties. Since it has been well over a year since any in-person events, Telarus wanted to make sure that the first one back was a huge success. Whether you attended or missed out on the 2021 Partner Summit, here is a recap of all the fantastic festivities that took place.
Dinners, Parties, Workouts
Attendees who joined got to experience intimate dinners with suppliers to build and develop relationships. Partner Summit was also the place to meet up with the channel chiefs, where partners were able to get 1-on-1 time to address go-to-market plans, marketing dollars, and other strategic initiatives.
The kick-off party on Tuesday night featured great company, conversation, and amazing snacks. Guests were encouraged to share their Survive – Overcome – Thrive stories on the graffiti wall displayed at the event. The closing after party was a great way to end the week to allow everyone to let loose and mingle.
Advanced Solutions Team
The Telarus Advanced Solutions team was in full attendance. Both partners and suppliers were able to meet and learn from Brandon Knight, VP of CCaaS, Koby Phillips, VP of Cloud, Shane Speakman, VP of UCaaS, and Chris Whitaker, VP of IoT. They held special training and sessions in all the major areas of the industry, including Contact Center, Mobility, IoT, and Cybersecurity.
Technology Lab
The Telarus Technology Demo Lab was led by VP of Engineering Josh Lupresto. Partners were able to see the interfaces that can turn customer’s communications from a utility into a competitive weapon.
Built for You: Education Paths
There were 24 sessions that partners were able to choose from to customize their Partner Summit learning experience. Session tracks included all the subjects you’d expect – CcaaS, UCaaS, Emerging Technology – AI, IoT, Mobility, Cybersecurity and Cloud, UcaaS and CCaaS; and classes like How to Hire, Personal Development, and Business Investment.
A crowd favorite was the branding and LinkedIn session done by Telarus’ very own VP of marketing, Chad Dixon, and social media content manager, Sara Pina. Session attendees learned the best ways to take the branding in their companies to the next level, all while learning how to up their LinkedIn presence.
Technology Reveal
Telarus University was unveiled to the public for the first time by Patrick Oborn, CPO, during the Telarus Partner Summit. This online portal enables its network of over 4,000 sales partners to earn certifications on technologies such as Contact Center, Unified Communications, Cloud Infrastructure, Network Optimization, Security, and IoT & Machine Learning. The website, located at www.TelarusUniversity.com, consists of three primary training modalities: free public training, live in-person training Academies, and a password-protected learning management system (LMS) that comes with dozens of courses that cover technology design, Telarus best practices, and supplier-specific training modules.
“We believe Telarus University allows our partners to work smarter, not harder,” added Richard Murray, COO of Telarus.
Alliance of Channel Women
The Alliance of Channel Women offers unique opportunities for women to easily and effectively contribute to the organization through volunteerism, networking, and collaboration. They uplift and encourage women to leverage their personal strengths by seeking committee leadership positions.
The ACW had a great panel during the Partner Summit event. The current board members of ACW, including SVP of marketing for Telarus, Amy Bailey, took the stage to each talk about the struggles and hardships they faced during the 2020 pandemic. Each speaker brought enlightenment and words of wisdom to every person present at the panel. For information on how to become a member, please visit the membership website.
Partner and Supplier Awards Ceremony
Many partners and suppliers were awarded in various categories such as Largest Deal, Top Supplier by Category, Partner Sales Performance award, and Best New Supplier. Telarus is proud and congratulates all partners and suppliers who continued working through and striving during the rough 2020 year.
“Everyone’s raw determination and focus on next-generation services like Contact Center, Cybersecurity, Mobility, and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) helped them raise the bar as we’ve never before seen. Not even a global pandemic can stop us from celebrating their success,” said Adam Edwards, Telarus CEO.

Opening and Closing Speakers
At Partner Summit, there were two outstanding speakers, Alison Levine and John O’Leary. Alison Levine is a history-making polar explorer and mountaineer who served as the team captain for the first American Women’s Everest Expedition. She drew relevant, authentic parallels between mountaineering and business because she has experienced both firsthand—on multiple mountains, in multiple organizations, and in multiple industries.
John O’Leary was once expected to die after a burn accident when he was little and now teaches others how to live. As an accomplished speaker, author, and podcaster, he shared his perspective to attendees to help them realize their full potential. Both opening and closing speakers did a fantastic job not only motivating attendees but also inspiring them to pursue their goals in their careers and their goals in life.
