Telarus Completes Move to New Office
Master Agent Telarus boosts its capacity to support and train agents by upgrading its office space and designing the first-of-its-kind SOC: support operations center.

SANDY, UTAH -- Telarus Inc., premier telecom master agent and patent holder of real-time carrier quotes, today announced that they have recently completed their corporate relocation to a new 6000 square foot office space located in the Centennial Plaza Tower in Sandy, Utah. The new office was custom architected for large-scale telecom management and includes the first-of-its-kind support operations center (SOC), agent training room, board room, idea (whiteboard) room, software development room, break room, and 10 executive offices.
"We are excited to finally be up and running in our new home," commented Adam Edwards, president of Telarus, Inc. "Our new office was conceived and designed with the future of our agents in mind. Improving our product – supporting carrier contracts on a national level and making it easy for agents to sell through them – was the key driver in our decision to upgrade our office space. Now we have ample room to do our job, but more importantly, we have room to grow and expand with the support requirements of our agent partner community."
The Telarus executive team spent over a year looking for the office space that today became their new home. Prior to moving in, the space was completely demolished and reframed to Telarus’ exact specifications.
"Success is not an accident, it must be planned for," added Patrick Oborn, co-Founder of Telarus, Inc. "When we sat down with the architects to lay out our new office, we knew that we had to dedicate space to key areas of our company: sales support, agent training, software development, accounting, and brainstorming. Since making the move we have seen a spike in productivity, morale, and most of all, in agents coming to spend time with us in our new headquarters."
The move, which begun in the summer of this year, came with a directive from management that nothing was to be moved from the old office with the exception of phone and computer equipment. All of the office furniture, work space systems, and artwork were designed and provided by Interior Solutions, based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
"We felt it was important to make a clean break from the past, both symbolically and functionally," continued Edwards. "We now have a world-class office space to match the world-class employees and software that we’ve been developing since our foundation in 2002. With the help of our new support operations center (SOC), we can see on the LCD monitors things that are critical to our agent partners: orders that are falling out of SLA with a carrier, new price quote requests coming in, the health of the carrier API’s that feed GeoQuote, etc. Having that information in a visual format which we patterned after a carrier’s Network Operations Center (NOC) gives us a chance to take immediate action to get our agents what they need, quickly."
The last step in the setup of the new office was the installation of crown signage, was completed on December 13, 2011. Should Telarus need to expand further than the current office will allow, provisions in the lease agreement allow for continued expansion into the rest of the second floor of the building with six weeks’ notice to the other occupants.
